An AirAsia flight
bound from Indonesia to Singapore with 155 people on board lost contact
with air traffic control Sunday morning, with search and rescue
operations underway, the airline said. The flight, QZ8501, from the Indonesian city of
Surabaya, departed around 5:30 a.m. (2230 GMT) local time was due in
Singapore at 8:30 a.m. (0030 GMT) lost contact at 6:17 am local time
