Obama was a law student in a summer gig at a Chicago law firm who apparently had to do some wheedling to get Robinson, his supervisor, to go out with him. The day she agreed, the two visited the Art Institute of Chicago, went on a long walking tour of the city's South Side and saw Spike Lee's Do the Right Thing.
